Share:

Gmail Product Manager, Matthew Izatt has announced that Inbox will end at the end of March 2019. Google will merge all the features included in Inbox to Gmail, and will focus on enhancing and building more new cool features on Gmail. Google has experimented many new and cool features on Inbox before and has been successful but instead of having two separate mail application, they prefer to have one and merge Inbox and Gmail together as their branding.

4 years of service

Inbox was first launched in 2014, and Google has been adding latest mail experiences to Inbox before implementing it to Gmail. Thus, having two of the same mail experiences, Google has decided to focus solely on one application, which already has billion of users, Gmail.

As a user, I liked Inbox because of its beautiful and minimal interface, making it looks professional and also the experiences that it brought.
